What does Sway have access to when I connect my networks?

It said "You are only providing read-only access to Insights data associated with the campaigns you participate in" but when I go to connect, it says you can manage my comments and create boards or save pins for me.

The verbiage you saw is from the social media channels themselves, e.g., Facebook, Pinterest, etc. They are very broad and meant to serve as a catch-all for everyone using this functionality in any absolutely scenario developers could dream up.

While authenticating your account can pass along this capability in theory, the fact of the matter is that we do not have any of these options within our system. We cannot (and would not) post, comment or create boards in any way.

You are only providing read-only access to insights data associated with campaigns you participate in, such as follower count, impressions, likes, comments, Instagram story views, etc.

We want you to rest assured that we have no intention of managing your business. We do not have access to post on your behalf. We are bound by the social media platforms and their verbiage (like other agencies and networks are) and unfortunately, can not change their standard language.

Did you get a message that your social connection has expired or will be expiring?

Facebook and Instagram authorizations must be updated every 90 days. If you visit your platform and see that the “link” icon beside Facebook or Instagram has turned red, that means that your connection has expired. You can renew this connection for an additional 90 days by clicking on “connect”. If your “link” icon is yellow, that means that your connection will expire in two weeks or less. To refresh your connection for an additional 90 days, first click on “unlink”, then click on “connect”.

Are you trying to link your social platforms in your Sway profile?

From your desktop computer, visit massivesway.com and click on your profile. From there click on social platforms. Please allow several seconds for this screen to fully load. You may see some social profiles already populated within your profile. If that is the case, click “connect” to allow us read-only access to those channels. Please keep in mind that only business Instagram accounts can be connected.

To add any platform to your profile, click on the associated icon and follow the on-screen steps. You may need to temporarily disable pop-up or ad blocker software to complete thes connection.

The platforms and stats menu will look slightly different if you visit on a mobile device. To connect accounts, click on the link icon to the right of the platform name. If you see the link on the left side of the platform name you have successfully connected that social channel.

Please note that linking your social profiles will be required in order to click “I’m interested” if you want to apply for a campaign.

Did you get a message that we need a W-9 on file for an upcoming campaign?

Visit MassiveSway.com to complete your W-9 electronically. Select profile, then select payment information. Select your business type, add your Social Security Number or EIN, and write in your billing name. Click W-9 if you are a US-based influencer or W-8 if you are a Canadian-based influencer. Don’t forget to click save!

Are you trying to apply to a campaign but getting the message that you need to “tell us the basics” in your profile?

Click on “show missing fields” in that message to get a detailed list of what is currently missing in your profile. Once you have updated those items you should be able to apply to the campaign.

When do I get paid?

We make payments in 60-90 days after campaign completion. In campaigns spanning 3 or more months, payment schedules will be modified accordingly.

Note that campaign completion is the delivery of our final report to a client, which typically happens three weeks following the submission of the last post.

At the close of a campaign, you will receive an email with a link to set up a free account with Bill.com

Please note that if you already have a linked account, then you will not receive another invitation.

If you prefer to receive a paper check in the mail, please do not select the ePayment option. Mailed checks will expire after 90 days.

If you’re working with an international bank, it’s important to note that payments can only be made via paper check.

In order to process your payment, your mailing address must be current in Bill.com. We must also have a signed copy of a tax form (W9 or W8) on file in the Sway Dashboard.

Why wasn’t I selected for a campaign?

Unfortunately, we rarely know why certain bloggers are not selected. It is really a matter of the client matching your blog to their marketing efforts. What we focus on instead is creating enough opportunities so that we are saying YES to you as much as possible.

How do I know if I was chosen for a campaign?

If you are chosen for a campaign, we will notify you via email. At that point, you will be instructed to log back into the Sway Dashboard to retrieve your campaign instructions.

Do I need to install the Sway badge on my site?

Installation of the badge is not required, but we would certainly love you to do so! The badge shows other influencers and potential clients that you are part of our network, and helps us to spread the word. The more clients see this out there, the more work we get for you guys!

But, my blog is REALLY small. Will you truly have work for me?

Maybe! We are actually working to close a number of campaigns that will be open to all of our bloggers, no matter how big or how small you are.

Do you have a minimum number of pageviews, fans, followers, etc. that I need to have in order to be selected?

We really don’t. Certainly if you have only 5 readers it will be harder to sell you in to a client, but sometimes we have very specific criteria to fill (regional or demographic) so our threshold for the number of page views drops dramatically. That said, it never hurts to improve your traffic, which is why we have so many amazing resources available at www.thesitsgirls.com.

I completed a campaign and still haven’t been paid. When can I expect my check?

Our payment policy is simple - You get paid when we do. We do our very best to collect payments from PR agencies and companies we work with as quickly as possible. Often times this is within a 90 day window, but it can be longer. In the event that a Client does not pay us, we are proactive with getting our legal counsel involved and doing everything we can to push a program to completion.

How does the tracking pixel work?

Magic! Just kidding. It’s actually pretty cool. The pixel is basically a 1x1 gif that no one can see. By embedding it into the HTML of your post, we can accurately tell exactly how many people saw your work. Clients love this, and it lets us sell in more programs to a more diverse group of agencies.

What if I have more than one blog?

Busy, busy! No problem. We allow you to include multiple blogs and social accounts in the platform and stats section of your profile.

How often do you post new campaigns?

We post campaigns as they come in! This can be somewhat erratic. To make sure you do not miss a thing, subscribe to our newsletter. You can find the subscription box at the top of the homepage at http://www.thesitsgirls.com. You can also join our private Facebook group

What if the information on my profile page changes?

Please update your profile as necessary! If you move, or get pregnant or have any other changes that will affect the work we do with you, please remember to go to your profile, click “edit” and make any necessary updates.
